We had winter today in South Central Texas.
For the last 4 days the weather announcers have been positively giddy about the upcoming "snow event". We went from "a chance of snow" on Tuesday to "Oh, my god -- snow! Accumulations of of 1-2"!! Sand the roads! Close the schools!" on last night's news.
Would you be surprised to find out that our snow event lasted less than an hour?
Winter is going to hang on for another 12 hours or so. Temps are expected to drop to the low 20's tonight. All my sensitive plants are decorated with old bath towels.
By the middle of next week it will be back in the 60's. Guess I shouldn't pack away my sandals yet.
