Week 2

I lost less than a pound (.8 to be exact) this week eating virtually the same foods as last week. Crazy! I can certainly tell the difference though -- my clothes are more comfortable, no heartburn at night and I seem to have more energy (that could be psychological). I am just going to keep chugging along. I am in this for the long haul.

That being said, I have pulled out the ice cream maker attachment to my Kitchenaid mixer and have started looking for low fat recipes: sorbets, frozen yogurts, etc. Tonight is "Bittersweet Chocolate Sorbet". Review to follow.

I finally experienced a Texas phenomenon that I had only heard about before. Yesterday morning on the way to work I ran into a thunderstorm. Nothing unusual there, this is Texas after all. However, it started raining so hard I literally could not see the road in front of me. I, along with several other smart, cautious people pulled off the highway, turned on our hazard lights and waited it out. I was amazed at the people driving 40-50 MPH past us as we sat -- not sure if they had super human vision or if they were just stupid.
