The last day of summer felt an awful lot like the rest of summer. It didn't break 100 (what is up with that - 68 days over 100 and we didn't break the old record????) but warm and very sticky.
I know that fall is coming: the hummingbirds are starting to leave -- 3 feeders seem to take care of what 7 feeders couldn't just 2 weeks ago. The sun is not up by the time I get to work in the morning and there is just a different feel to the air.
I don't mind the shorter days here in Texas as there is certainty that we will see the sun on a fairly regular basis even in the middle of winter.
