Howdy, y'all!

This is my second attempt at blogging. The first time I was motivated by the need to try something different, step out of my comfort zone a bit. This time, I think I am giving it a try to keep in touch with family and friends that live in other places.

After 3 years, Texas still sometimes feels like a foreign country, albeit an interesting one.

I hope that I can share some of the life we have chosen for ourselves here.

I will close by saying that today is the 49th day this year that the temperature has broken 100. Even the people who have lived here all their lives are whining. Does not bode well.......
