Summertime, and the livin' is easy......

We have had rain 3 times in the last 10 days. Not a lot, but enough to temporarily bring down the temperature and set the toads croaking. It was only 97 today and it felt good. If someone had told me 4 years ago that I would find any temperature in the high 90's a relief I would not have believed it.

I don't think my transition to a Texan is complete, but it is progressing: I have a pair of boots in the closet (although, unlike my friend Tamara, a native Texan, I do not have 6 pairs of various colors), I think of queso as a comfort food, and I am prone to say y'all. I do not however, consider Texas as the only place to be, I refuse to wear burnt orange on UT game days and my idea of a cold day is still somewhere below 40 degrees.
